Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights. It applies to the email signup and trade enquiry forms on londonsojuclub.com.
Who we are
The data controller is Bevvy Square Ltd (Company No. 10675780), trading as London Soju Club. Contact: londonsojuclub@gmail.com.
What we collect
If you submit the mailing-list form: your email address, optional postcode, your 18+ self-affirmation, and the date and timestamp of your consent.
If you submit the trade enquiry form: your business name, business type, location, email address, and any message you choose to send.
Why we collect it & lawful basis
Mailing list: we process your email under your consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) so we can send you tasting invitations and launch updates. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link in any message. The 18+ confirmation is recorded for our regulatory record under CAP Code Section 18 and the ICO Age Appropriate Design Code.
Trade enquiries: we process the information you provide under our legitimate interest (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in responding to a business request you have initiated.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that operate this site: Mailchimp (operated by Intuit Inc.), which runs our mailing list; Formspree Inc., which processes trade enquiry submissions and delivers them to our inbox; and Cloudflare, which hosts and serves the website. Each processes your data on our behalf and is subject to UK GDPR obligations when doing so. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third-party marketers.
International transfers
Two of the providers named above are based in the United States: Mailchimp (operated by Intuit Inc.) and Formspree Inc. When you submit a form, your data is transferred to the United States, which is outside the UK. We make these transfers only with appropriate safeguards in place, using the mechanisms approved for this purpose under UK GDPR, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. To ask which safeguard applies to your data, or to obtain a copy of the relevant terms, email londonsojuclub@gmail.com.
How long we keep it
Mailing list addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or for two years after your last engagement, whichever comes first. Trade enquiries are retained for two years from the date of your enquiry, after which they are deleted unless they have become part of an active trade relationship (in which case retention is governed by our standard B2B records policy).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct or delete it; ask us to limit how we use it; receive a copy of it in a portable format; object to processing; and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
To exercise any of these rights, email londonsojuclub@gmail.com.
Cookies
This site does not set marketing or tracking cookies. We may use strictly necessary cookies for form submission and basic site operation. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-respecting measurement service that does not use cookies and does not track you across websites.
